About Blue Gorilla

The Pastor

Joshua Flease is the acting pastor of Blue Gorilla. He has a history of working with youth and young adults. He prays for the sick,  and helps disciple new believers.

Josh is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center , and believes the presence of God and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available today .  He preaches that God is looking for the opportunity to display himself in you and to others. He believes God isn't just looking for what you can do, but what he can do through you.  Josh wants to give God the opportunity to move mightily through himself and other's and hope's to encourage others to do the same.

Josh is married and has 5 kids. He started Blue Gorilla in 2020 and had his first public service in August.

What happened!

Josh felt the call to ministry back in 8th grade. When he finally graduated high school he decided to pursue that calling. He attended Rhema and graduated in 2003. Then he thought he'd go right into ministry however that didn't happen. He seemed to have lost the trail and wasn't getting any direction about how or what to do concerning ministry. He got married and divorced and had many bumps and frustrations in life. Josh wasn't sure what was going on, and decided to forget about pursuing ministry assuming he wasn't able.        He started learning that he wasn't really using his faith in many areas of his life , but merely depending on what he himself could do. He was begging God for help instead of trusting in the things God has already promised. Besides that Josh also realized how much people were in rough situations. These were situations he wouldn't be able to relate with before. In fact he probably would have been critical and insensitive to their experience.  With a softened heart and an encouraged heart, Josh felt the leading of the Lord again. Even though he felt he wasn't ready and that the timing was bad, Josh is trusting God and is experiencing his faithfulness.
